gromacs-dev software package provides GROMACS molecular dynamics sim, development kit, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gromacs-dev
gromacs-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gromacs-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gromacs-dev *
You will get with gromacs-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
